JEST FOR THE PUN OF IT. Union-Tribune language columnist and International Punster of the Year Richard Lederer will explain what a pun is and will perform some of the funniest puns ever created. He’ll be delighted if the audience can share their favorite puns. Dr. Lederer will also share his favorite Jewish jokes. He’ll be signing and inscribing a selection of his books.
Bio: Union-Tribune language columnist Richard Lederer is the author of 65 books about language, history, and humor, including his current titles, A Feast of Words, American History for Everyone, Anguished English, and Jest for the Pun of It.
Dr. Lederer is a founding co-host of “A Way With Words,” broadcast on KPBS. He has been named International Punster of the Year and Toastmasters International's Golden Gavel winner.
