Many residents of Tijuana, Mexico use Home of Peace for burials.

Home of Peace is the only all Jewish cemetery in San Diego. Other cemeteries and mausoleums have dedicated Jewish sections.

Mount Hope Cemetery

Founded in 1869, Mount Hope is the oldest cemetery in San Diego. Municipal and non-denominational. The locations of all of the burials in the Mt. Hope records that refer to the Jewish section or Hebrew section are in what is now the Home of Peace Cemetery. There are many Jewish burials in Mt. Hope that are not identified as Jewish.

Old Jewish Cemetery
The first Jewish cemetery was established in San Diego about 1861. The land was donated by Louis Rose, the first Jew known to have settled in San Diego, in an area then known as Roseville (now Point Loma). The cemetery no longer exists. In 1939, the burials were removed to the Home of Peace cemetery.
